This was my last incarnation on, a popular bookmarking/social site owned by Conde Nast:

Five posts down is this comment of mine, a response to this post on Obama’s lack of a birth certificate (he instead fooled the sheep with a ‘Certification of Live Birth’, a completely different animal from a birth certificate):

“In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL.”

And heres’ the permalink for that comment, which yields the standard reddit “there doesn’t seem to be anything here” message when confronted with an empty comment section:

Reddit just removes the comment’s view from the rest of the world’s view while fooling the poster (me, in this case) into thinking it’s visible when logged in.

Fancy censorship by coding, eh? The poster I’m replying to is visible, but my reply has ‘disappeared’.
